Montessori House of Children Reviews

My daughter was 2 1/2 years old when she started Montessori House of Children. Looking for a pre-school/daycare program are hard to find & trust. I was worried that she will not adapt to the school environment, but I was wrong. She loved her school. All the teachers are great. Although this school is older than maybe others but to this day the same director & some teachers are the same. My daughter was there for a little over a year and she learned her alphabet, words, art/music, geography & even was potty trained fully. The school programs such as Christmas & children day's etc are great. My daughter misses this school very much. This school definitely exceeds my expectaction. -A Tran

I have two daughters who each spent two years at Cerritos/Artesia Montessori House of Children. The results of their pre-school education far exceeded my expectations. Both learned to read fluently, established handwriting by writing individual words, learned basic addition and subtraction, and studied various science, geography, and art/music topics such as insects, animals, solar system, continents, states, etc. All this at only 4 years old, and before attending kindergarten! Other parents and family members are very impressed with my youngest daughter's ability to read, write, and spell at only 4 1/2 years old. When my oldest daughter left this Montessori school to attend kindergarten she complained saying her kindergarten teacher was giving her 'baby work' such as coloring triangles and squares. This is a great pre-school, and Mrs. Perera is a fantastic teacher!
