Thomas M. Erwin Elementary School Reviews

Erwin's low performance cannot be blame on a group of students who for most, are above many of the schools around this district. It should be also noted, that Erwin has some of the finest and hard working teachers inside of this dictatorship of a district. Erwin's performance can only be blamed on two things: a poor district leadership and poor leadership upon a principal who does not take advantage of Erwin's teaching superiority. Eriwn's scores and number of suceeses will increase dramatically if two things occur: Erwin succeeds from the Bassett District due to its poor monarchy like leadership and second, eliminate the one person leadership; the principal. Instead Erwin, should be shared and controlled by teachers and staff alike with heavy parent involvment free of religious stupidity and political choice.

My children attended this school my oldest K-3 and my youngest K-1. When my oldest was in 2nd grade he was bored as the subject matter was too easy for him. However, he was not allowed to move forward as he could not get too far ahead of the rest of the class. He was eventually placed in the GATE program in 3rd grade and although helpful was still not challenging enough. I relocated to West Covina and here it was a little bit of a struggle for both of my kids but now they are up on top again. Erwin is definitely lagging in their instruction.

Last SAT scores for my 4th grade student were lost. And they can not do anything about it. So now my child's scores will stay marked as N T, which means not tested.
