The teachers work together in each grade level to make sure everyone in on track. The only problem I have is the lack of communication and involvement with parents. The PTA is a group of 5 people who run extensive fundraiser throughout the year- no meeting are announced. Extra curricular activities are non existing. I have never know a school to put so much into both there student and parents. We had to do homework with the kids which was turned in every Friday. I feel as a mother that education starts at home and so does Alameda. My child is going into first grade and is able to read at a 4th grade level. Ms Mort you are the greatest gift (Thank you).
