This turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Even though Carnegie was crowded when she attended, the school was never on lock-down, most of the kids from different racial backgrounds got along and it was a good learning experience for her. Of course it was a culture shock for her since she was coming from private school but she quickly adapted to her new atmosphere. This is when I learned how important and expensive fashion was in middle school.
