Caroldale Learning Community Reviews

School principal is not knowledgeable in the care and well being of the students. They need a new principal to be able to guide and maintain a high standard of scholastic as well as psychological well being of the students. Staff is not friendly. Teachers do not care about the truth when it comes to students welfare. They complain about too many students in their class and not able to take care of students problems. Per one instructor she said' I am not going to cater to one students need ' Bullys in school are not properly supervised.

caroldale is a warm and inviting enviorment and makes me want to get up in the morning and cant wait till the weekend is over so I can go to school on monday so if you are a parent searching for a good school and won`t settle for less then carodale is the school for you and your child. Home of the Cougars!!!!!!!!

I am a parent and I have to respond to the Oct. 2005 ltr. on Computer Lab Parent center. $150,000 invested in 36 drops for network,it is used for the entire school, Math, Science, A new Web design setup for the students to create, Skype for students to have live feed to other students around the world. A broadcast center for students to have live feeds into the classrooms for world events/local news school happendings, a closed campus use for the Principal to speak with all classrooms at the same time. A research center for the students. All the computers have come through by begging companies, lausd etc. by Paul. There is The Carson Parent center on School grounds who provide all the services for the school.

I have had 2 years of bad experiences my son is in 5th grade now. I volunteer when I can and for the most part I see teachers who genuinely care for the students. We need more training with teacher/student communication/discipline. More control over the middle school children. Many children are being left behind because the lack of teacher education in disablities evaluations. We have lost our volunteer room to the computer lab which is a big inconvience for those providing the services for the parents and fundraising. We are definitely over crowded. The children need more excercise also. Incorporate more structured gross motor activities. Not many opportunities for artistic expression especially in Kinder where it is very important. Music is a another very important aspect of learning. Not only should children learn an instrument but be exposed to great classical and appropriate modern music.

This is one of the best school. My child loved the school very much. Its sad I have to change the school as I'm moving. He had a wonderful teacher Miss Terril who was really caring and concerned about the students performances. The extracurricular activities was ok compared to some other schools but not limited. The parent involment was very good.

The school is overcrowded, and the teacher's are forced to teach the kids at a faster pace, where kids have to learn faster. Which doesn't allow the kids any study time. The teacher's like to belittle the kids, saying other classes are better. The children are rewarded candy for getting good grades. That's ridiculous.

The teachers and staff really care about the success of the children. They have early intervention programs to help your child learn.

This is one of the best elementary schools in the city. It is a very diverse, safe campus. In my experience, the teachers have been very involved with the students/parents and genuinely concerned about the childrens education.

The school was reasonably good, especially when Ms. Sweet was there, however, now I hear it's going downhill.

My 10 year old son and 5 year old daughter have had outstanding teachers!
