Dolores Street Elementary School Reviews

Dolores Street School offers a variety of multicultural events for the students, staff and community members to participate in. There are six multicultural programs per year, focusing on ethnic groups found at the school site. There are a variety of music programs geared toward the holidays, as well as toward science activities.

Every parent would love their child to experience the high academics, support and family/community interaction that my son has received at Dolores Elementary. The staff, children and community truely work together to enhance student achievement. The environment at Dolores is similar to that of a family---even through adversity there is progress, support and especially love. Staff and community members, alike, are proactive in meeting children's needs. There is a true understanding that a child cannot succeed academically if his/her pychological, physical, social and emotional needs are not also met. I would not change the education my son is receiving at Dolores Street Elementary for any other one!

I went to this school when I was a child and wanted my children to have the same experience that I had while attending Dolores Street. The entire staff from the administration, to the teachers, to the janitorial staff genuinely care about the students first and the appearance of the school. My son's teachers call me at home to keep me up to date with his progress and to let me know if I need to give my son additional one-on-one help at home to help with special projects, or testing. That tells me that they care about my son and his well-being. We have a wonderful group of people working at Dolores Street with our children and I hope that everyone can experience the joy that my family has had being at this school.
