Henry Elementary School Reviews

The principal here is very attentive and handles kids on an individual basis. She is great at communicating. My son is in the 2nd grade and has had the worst year so far. The teacher seems burnt out and not very patient. I have not been happy with the teacher support/involvement at all. The only positive experience here has been the principal.

The teachers in the dual immersion program are very involved with the children and parents. Several school events for parents.

Physical plant inadequate-- many rooms without air conditioning, playground is asphalt with a chain link fence. Staff pleasant and hardworking.

This school is really like two schools. The dual immersion program has active, involved parents and high quality teachers. The English language program has students who are bussed in from downtown Long Beach.

Great school! My daughter liked it here and they have a great after school program and it's free!

If you want your child in the Spanish Immersion program, this is a great school. As for the regular classroom, I would avoid this school.

I am very pleased with Patrick Henry and the teaching staff there. The VAPA program is great also.

My children are receiving an excellent education at Henry. Can your children read and write in two languages? Mine can! The teachers and staff are excellent. Keep up the great work Henry!
