Katherine Edwards Middle School Reviews

My son experienced his 6th grade with above average satisfaction. He was enrolled in the theater class with Ms. Vincent and she was great. One can see the devotion and teaching skills she puts in to the kids - Ms. Vincent you are great!

I have written about the poor support of staff before. I had two girls in this school and was very dissappointed with the majority of all staff and the communication amongst them and the principal. Violence was not at zero tolerance, circumstances were minimal, principal was weak in allowance of staff. This school could be reason for high drop-out rates. Someone should care enough to replace the support in this school.

Our experience with this school was good. When my daughter started here in sixth grade she needed extra help in reading all I had to do is ask for the help and she got it. All the teachers she had her three years here were great. They made themselves available to give the students extra help if they needed it. On the other hand the administration can use some improvement the principal and vice-principal not very approachable.

I think its a really great school. The academic level is just right.

The school administration is very confused as to what it takes to keep the kids motivated, and willing to learn. The focus seems to be more on what the kids are wearing and backpack issues, rather than on what the kids are learning or not learning. There is no help from the teachers for kids who really need it and want it. Also safety is an issue.

The staff cares about student progress and success and many give up their lunches and other personal time to help their students.

Edwards is a wonderful school that puts children's academic needs first and is a caring, nurturing environment. The teacher's are unted in one purpose.. to give students the best education possible. The principle is very accessible and parent-friendly.

Seems that the Teachers do not want to teach. When a child falls behind that is where they stay. When a child asks for help they get refused. Not a very good school. The Principal is not very helpfull either.
