Cypress High School Reviews

Cypress is ranked #8 in Orange County and # 1 in the State of Calif. SAT testing. And what can we say about the sports program, but I think it is the BEST. So with academic being up there and with the sports program being pretty good, over all the school I think should of been ranked higher in Orange County. And I am glad my kids both go there.

I am currently a Senior at Cypress High School and have very little to say about it that isn't good. Program are well organized, the staff is dedicated, and I know that becasue of this school, I have been better prepared to enter the real world.

Teachers were great. Food was disgusting.

My son, who is now a junior in collage, attended El Segundo High School. El Segundo s School District and especially High School is second to none in every aspect. When we moved to OC and my daughter entered Cypress High I had my concerns. Four years ago, I considered it a good school, but not in the same category as El Segundo High. However over the past four years Cypress has made great strides due to the diligent efforts of the Administration and Faculty of the school. Cypress is now on par academically with El Segundo High., and the school staff has impressed me even more than El Segundo s staff. This schools counseling department is very caring and because of the efforts of the teachers, counselors and Principle, my daughter has had a positive and rewarding educational experience. I feel she has been properly prepared to matriculate to the University level.

Daughter is graduating this year. Must say, Cypress has been a great experience for us all. Very impressed with the Principal and his commitment to his students.

I recently attended Los Alamitos High School. Things there were pretty bad. I had enough and chose to go to Cypress High. What a difference. The school is very welcoming. The kids aren't at all as harsh and segregated as they are at Los Al. The students are full of school spirit. They all dress up on school spirit days and they're all pumped up for the assemblies. Cypress is also very well managed. The principle may be hard on kids, but he keeps everyone in line and the school's a very safe place to be. Not to mention Cypress High is now a California Distinguished School and earned a very high ranking with their test scores recently.

This is a great school with exellent teachers, and many great programs available for the students to participate in.

I am currently a sophmore at Cypress High. The pricipal is strict which isn't always a good thing. We're teenagers so naturally we are going to rebel against this new principal that is 100 times more strict than the one we had before him.

The quality of this school's academic programs is great! There are all kinds of elective you can take and join. For example, drama and football are completely different, but each you the same thing: unity. The parent involvement is encouraged and keeps the students pleased that their family is getting involved in their education.

My Son is a Sophmore in Cypress, in this school the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best without being labeled as the smart or dumb kids. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind and knows each child by name. He is a great example of a leader Thank you for bringing out the best in my children and giving them the encouragement and confidence they need to go out into the world! '
