Sycamore Junior High School Reviews

this school is amazing my child has a 4.0

The academics at this school are the worst I have seen.

This Jr High school has a good music instructor. He is great with the kids and started a competing drumline. They have a special class to help the kids with study habits and homework issues.

Having my child attend this school was a huge mistake and will do all I can not to have her attend any schools in anaheim. Amazing how we are so well known for the entertainment aspect, but when it comes to education...how sad! If it weren't for the teachers to help me through the 2 yrs wirh my child, I don't know what I would have done. Even though the teachers were amazing, I had difficulties with administration. They did not understand that they must communicate with me about my child and not wait until the last week of school to let me know what was really going on. It is very unorganized and hope that they improve their standards. I have been in more than enough times to express my concerns as well.

My child attended 7th grade at this school, he will not be going back. This school and the district as a whole, with the exception of a couple of schools, is in need of some serious help. My child was issued one book for math and none for science, history or English. And while his teachers seemed knowledgeable in their areas, it seemed at times that they were more concerned about giving detentions for chewing gum in class than helping students after school. I tried several times to set up an appointment to talk to his science teacher and she never seemed to be available.
