Arthur F. Corey Elementary School Reviews

My son in going into 3rd grade and he has been a student at Corey since Kindergarten. He has always had wonderful teachers and they are great at communicating with parents. My son, I believe has done an excellent job in every grade due to this great school. -Jessica

The Teachers are excellent! Great School! The Office secretary is suberb! The Principal was wonderful!

My daughter was transferred to corey elementary school in the 4th grade because I was displeased with another school in the g.G. School district ( lawrence ). Corey has been wonderful! The teachers are amazing...We love you miss sturgeon( sorry I forgot your new married name ) and mr. Gibson...Keep dancing!..Mona in the office....What would we do without you? Everything about corey gives your child a safe, loving environment to learn and grow in. I can't say enough good things about this school. Thank you corey! the kelley family :)

3 of the 4 years at this school have been wonderful. My child has gone from the one always behind and at risk for retention, to the top of his class, with high test scores and cat6 scores in the advanced block. (Sorry if it's seems I'm bragging, but you can't imagine how for he has come. He couldn't read at all when he started in 2nd grade!) I give his teachers all the credit for his progress. Structured, yet flexible to the kids individual needs, they try different approaches until they find what works best for a child who is struggling.

I like this school and am happy with the overall performance but the only thing is they don't have any extracurriculum activities and no parent teacher meeting at all just one at the end of first trimenster. I wish they had better teachers.

My daughter goes to this school and I am quiet satisfied with the overall performance but they don't have different homework for kids with different needs and so my kindergartner who knows how to read still practices phonics and alphabets. As far as I know they don't have much extra curriculum activities for her age.

My 3 have attended Corey since grade K. I have not met a teacher yet who does not truly care about the welfare of the children. Wether the child is a GATE student or needs 'Cougar Club' tutoring, each child is taught as an individual and are given challenges to meet their own personal goals.

We are very happy with this school! This is only our 2nd year but my 3rd grader has come along way since going to Corey. He struggled last year, could not read at all and by the end of the year he was reading at 3.2 grade level!! The teachers really seem to care about their students' success. They seem to know how to motivate the children to want to learn and enjoy going to school. They are very structured, but they understand and pay attention to each child's individual needs, so that each child is able to succeed.
