Westminster High School Reviews

Excellent school. I graduated in 2006. It just gets better and better every year. They are building new classes, buying new books, have automated machine calling home to inform you about the attendance and testes, and everything possible for the kids. Teachers are awesome. They really do go the extra mile to help the kids.

As far as public schools go, this is one of the best. Education is top notch. Teachers are really good. And athletics and other extracurriculars are plentiful. Great school for kids.

awesome school! graduated from there in 2001 and i would send my kids there in a heartbeat!

I had a senior with junior credits. WHS staff was instrumental in getting him caught up and on track for graduation. They seem to really care about their students.

As a recent graduate, I believe that Westminster is an awesome school and prepared me very well for college. The AP and Honors programs are fabulous.

Westminster High is one of the high schools that provides kids with a good education if they really want one. That is if you can get around all the trouble makers. Many kids are just on the wrong side of the path. Many are in gangs. Homeschool or put your kid in a private school first.

This school is for me, is the best one I've ever been to. The teacher's here are very helpful. I've grew up in a poor family, so I couldn't pay to join wrestling. I've told them about this and the next thing I knew.....I have a wrestling class. This school might not be the best, but they're very helpful and I'm thankful for that. Will H. Vo

My son had excellent teachers and engaging classes. He was able to participate in football and track while taking a full college preparatory schedule. The positive coaching that he received encouraged his performance in all his classes. He is doing very well at a Cal State now and owes his success to the preparation that Westminster provided. Some of his outstanding teachers were Ms. Braun, Mrs. Lang, Mrs. Jones and Coach McMillan.

Admin office very helpful, a variety of classes and clubs offered.

The school lacks technology. Also, no school newspaper.

My son was accepted into the Merits math and science program which is a focus ciriculum on these two subject matters. They take advanced and special classes. I also know of the Health academy which plans the ciriculum around health and science. There are many oppertunities for sports and extra activities and there are always other parents that are willing to help out.

I have to say, this school is not the best, but if you wanted the best you would pay for private school, and yes there are problems. But we overcome these problems and hopefully learn from them and take them into the future with us as we grow older. I have learned a lot from coming here and the teachers I have had the pleasure of meeting are wonderful because they are passionate in what they do, which does reflect your work.
