Alderwood Basics Plus Elementary School Reviews

the school used to be just wonderful back in the old days like 5 or 6 years ago but now it's just lacking. the teachers are inexperienced and most of them don't even know how to teach properly. the teachers pretend to care and put up a front. I dont think they really do care about the students. I wish it would go back to the wya it used to be.

I always heard a lot of good things about this school before we came to live in Irvine. They do a good job driving the kids academincally. I just wish they were nicer about it. I'm disappointed by how many teachers are new and inexperienced. Some of the the experienced ones are too strict and not very friendly.

great school and great academic environment. The principal is a great leader. The pta is very clicky and discourages people to participate in the school activities. Teachers are exceptional.

I just moved in in 2007 and this school emphasize in the test score only. I do not think they really care about kids. Is superficial school.

Both of my kids go to this school. The culture is diverse with a lot of Asian kids. A lot of requests to donate for the school through out the year compared to other schools in the district.

My Daughter is new to this school this year. While her teacher is young, she seems capable. I just wish that she would listen to my wife and I about our daughter. She seems to want to fit her into a mold that she will not fit into.

Both of my children currently attends AB+ This is their 2nd year. I love the new facility. The technology they currently have in their classrooms really foster their learning. The transition from another Irvine school wasn't too bad either. There was a major difference as far as the amount of work they got from here compare to Canyon View. But all in all my children never struggled and were able to catch up. I was very happy with their teachers as well. They are all very supportive. I am very satisfied as far as all the extracurricular activities they offer after school. There are so many choices. I especially appreciate the ACE chair person's hard work. I am confident that my children will be able to handle whatever comes to them in the future because of this school.

Great staff and Teachers. PTA very clicky.

Excellen School. Moved to Quail Hill 2006, all in all I could not complain about anything. My son has attended 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. Great program, great teachers

Higher standards in education but lack of encouragement to the new students on the teachers part.

I have three kids, one finished elementary school 2 year ago at Alderwood and 2 currently in fifth and fourth grades. I can only say good things about the school specially about the staff that is very experient and really involved in giving the best level of education to the children. I believe this is the best place to have your kids.

It is my son's first year in Alderwood. It is an excellent school with very experienced teachers. The principal is very hands on. I see him each morning when I drop off my child and after school. He always looks out for the kids.
