Mesa View Middle School Reviews

Classroom teachers are mostly talented, dedicated and hardworking. Principal has an exalted opinion of herself and her authority in the child's life--attempts to overreach her jurisdiction and tell parents how to parent. She has a condescending manner to parents and students alike, and shrilly insists she knows ALL about ALL the kids, but can't reliably pronounce a common first name. I'm impressed with the folks there who have a real job (classroom teachers); front-office administration is abysmal.

this is the best middle school ever no gang bangers and no innapropptiate things at all excepet for those very few kids who refuse to obey the school rules

it is a wonderful school that has brought joy and has made kids smarter pluse they have a magnet school and a parrelle program

I was a former student of this school. It was a wonderful school and has a GATE program which no other school in the district has. They have wonderful teachers such as Mr. DuVal and Mrs. Manz. Sadly, this year was the last year for three great teachers, Mr. Fairchild (who received teacher of the year award two years ago), Mr. Sears (an awesome science teacher who participated in taking the 8th graders to Yosemite), and Mrs. Divino (who would sometimes participate in taking the 6th graders to outdoor ed). This school has many technological tools such as laptops, and smart boards in every classroom.

I am an 8th grade student that attended mesa view middle school from 6th to 8th grade. My family has moved almost once a year since I was three so I have attended many schools over the years but none of them have compared to mesa view. The academic programs are designed to push and while the extracurricular activities may not be as varied as other schools, they are adding programs constantly. But to me one of the most important qualities was the students and staff. The students are all close and unlike many other schools Ive been to they dont judge you as much. Everyone knows everyone the last thing is the teachers. Mr fairchild and mrs manz and mr duval are the best teachers I could have ever hoped for..Because they are of the few who still care about the students. Your child will be lucky to attend mesa

This school is good bring your kids here

Mesa View is the GATE magnet middle school for the district. My daughter is in GATE and has wonderful teachers. They are very interactive with a lot of hands on learning. The school has a great principal and vice principal. Both are very involved and the students know them well. The only thing the school is lacking in is parent involvement. Working full time it is hard to be there, but I do my best. Every parent needs to volunteer and at least come to the PTSO meetings ti share ideas. With more parent involvement the school can only get better than it all ready is.

My daughter attends the gate program here and is disappointed in the limited resources available to the gate children. Computer lap tops and better quality materials should be provided. The principle and vp are very approachable but seem to have their hands tied with many situations.

I went to this school and am commenting the absolute joy I expierienced each day. The atmosphere was outside and calm, makeing that test seem more bareable! The staff was young and fun to learn from.
